Double Take

I know a version of you, you haven’t met. His eyes intensely fixed in mine, his body pensive and determined. He doesn’t search for reasons why not, he knows what he wants. His arms wrap around me like deadly lust stricken anacondas with no other choice than to take me. His breath follows mine. He isn’t crushed under the weight of my second thoughts, he grows, flourishes, digs roots deep in places that are yet not his own. My protests for this steady invasion are silenced by his lips kissing me until I have no thoughts of my own. My clothes smell like him, my hands smell like him, my mouth tastes like him. My skin bleeds into his tones, we run together like watercolors in the rain. In his embrace what’s mine becomes his and what’s his becomes infinite in mine.

I hope you get to meet him one day while I am still here and while I am still a fool waiting for that unexpected knock on my door.
