Your parents do not surprise visit you and then at the door tell you that they can’t enter your house cause it’s an abomination. Or ask you if you are doing it for the money when you come out to them.

You don’t grow up in a society where your peers and elders call you a variety of derogatory terms so complicated you have to go look them up in a encyclopedia to figure out why they hate you so much. Same peers don’t try to come rushing back into your life in your forties, like nothing happened in childhood pretending somehow they are better people. News flash they aren’t.
